Rachel joined Herlihy LLP in January 2023 as Counsel, where she heads the Construction & Labor practice group for the Firm. Rachel has been a dedicated construction attorney since the start of her legal career, litigating matters on behalf of general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, as well as others within the contracting and construction industries.

Rachel counsels clients on issues related to contract drafting/negotiation, mechanic’s liens, risk management, insurance and corporate structuring, OSHA compliance, regulatory compliance, and corporate formation/governance. Her experience as a construction and commercial litigator provides her clients with the ability to utilize Rachel through all phases of legal representation. Although a passionate and dedicated litigator, Rachel adopts a proactive approach in her practice, assisting clients with navigating disputes at the point of inception so as to avoid costly litigation where possible, and enabling clients to focus on running their businesses.

A native of Galway, Ireland, and an active member of the Irish community in New York, Rachel has been around construction for much of her life. Members of her immediate and extended family are found throughout the industry. Her exposure to construction from a young age provides her with a skillset which many others simply do not possess, and is one which cannot be taught.
