Mariya is an attorney with a proven track record of providing dynamic advocacy for her clients throughout all phases of litigation. Since the outset of her career, she has represented municipal and corporate clients in creditor litigation, foreclosure litigation, and commercial litigation matters. She offers clients her comprehensive knowledge of the law and the ability to maneuver difficult and complex legal matters.

 

Prior to joining the firm, she served as a Special Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of New York, prosecuting civil actions to recover fines, penalties, and post-judgment debt from violators of government assistance fraud; property and health code violations; unlicensed and illegal business activities; and negligently damaging City property.  In addition to litigating in the courtroom, Mariya successfully enforced judgments by property execution and collaborated with Sheriffs and Marshalls to leverage liens attached to real property. She also served as the Supervising Litigation Attorney at one of the largest creditors’ rights firms in the State where she specialized in breach of contract litigation.  In addition to her supervisory role, she defended the firm and it’s clients against federal and civil lawsuits. 

 

Mariya has gained a reputation of being an attorney who uses her vast knowledge of civil procedure and the law to facilitate favorable settlements and obtain successful outcomes for her clients in the courtroom. 

 

Mariya is licensed to practice law in the State of New York, Southern District of New York and Eastern District of New York. Mariya graduated New York Law School where she was a member of the International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court.
